How to merge pdf in your browser

Four steps, about thirty seconds — no account, no software to install, and no internet transfer of your documents.

  1. 1

    Add your PDF files

Drag and drop two or more PDF files onto the tool, or click to browse your device. You can add more files at any time.

  2. 2

    Arrange the page order

Drag files to change their sequence, sort them A–Z, or reverse the list. Open “Pages” to reorder, rotate, or skip individual pages with live previews.

  3. 3

    Merge on your device

Click “Merge PDF”. The files are combined locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded, so large documents merge as fast as your computer allows.

  4. 4

Why “in the browser” matters

Most online tools upload your documents to a temporary server — they often sit in storage, may be visible to staff or subprocessors, and become a breach target. Merge PDF skips the server entirely: your files are read from your device, processed in your browser's memory, and written back locally. Nothing to store, nothing to leak, nothing to delete later.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. Merging runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files are read from your device into memory and the merged PDF is written back locally — they are never transmitted anywhere.

Is this PDF merger really free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark, no trial and no daily file limit. Merge as many PDFs with as many pages as you like, as often as you like.

Can I reorder or delete pages before merging?

Yes. Every file can be expanded into page previews: drag pages to a new order, rotate them in 90° steps, or skip any page from the merge — and the previews show exactly what your output will look like.

Can I sort files by name automatically?

Yes — use the A–Z sort button to order files by their names (handy for scanned pages like “page-001.pdf”, “page-002.pdf”), or reverse the current order with one click.

Why won’t my password-protected PDF merge?

PDF files that require a password (even a blank owner-password protecting editing) are encrypted and cannot be safely processed without the key. Open the file in a PDF reader, choose “Save As” without protection, and merge the unlocked copy.

Can I make all merged pages the same size?

Yes. If your files have different page sizes, choose the “Unify” option in Page size and every page is centered on one size — the largest page, the first page, or A4. Smaller pages get white margins, nothing is ever cropped. Keep “Original sizes” when you want maximum quality and interactive links preserved.

Does merging reduce quality or change the pages?

No. Pages are copied into the new document byte-for-byte with their original layout, fonts and embedded images intact. Your results look identical to the sources.

Is there a file-size limit?

There is no artificial cap — you are only limited by your device’s memory. Typical documents up to several hundred megabytes merge comfortably in a modern browser.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. The tool is fully responsive: add files from your device, drag pages with touch, and download the merged PDF directly — no app needed.
