Cookie Policy

Cookie law in the EU (Directive 2002/58/EC, implemented in Portugal by Lei n.º 41/2004) requires us to tell you what is stored on your device and, unless an exemption applies, to ask permission first. Here is our honest inventory.

Lei 41/2004ePrivacyConsent-gated analytics

Last updated: 5 October 2026

The 30-second version

  • By default this site sets two local preferences on your device: your theme choice and your analytics consent choice.
  • No advertising cookies, no social plugins, no cross-site trackers, no fingerprinting.
  • Google Search Console measures search visibility — it never runs on our pages and sets no cookies through this site.
  • Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept in the consent banner; rejecting costs you nothing.

Plain-language orientation — the numbered sections below are the complete, legally binding text.

1. Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser; local storage is the same idea kept on your device. Some are strictly necessary to render a page; others exist to track you across the web. This policy covers both technologies, because under EU law both count as “access to information stored in terminal equipment”.

2. Our approach: nothing runs before you say yes

Consent first, analytics never forced

Everything strictly necessary (rendering, your theme choice, remembering your consent decision) is exempt from consent under Art. 5(3) ePrivacy. The one non-exempt tool we use — Google Analytics 4 — is not loaded at all until you press “Accept analytics” in the banner. Reject, and no analytics code ever runs on your device.

If we ever introduce another non-exempt cookie, it will appear in the inventory below first, with a consent mechanism before it is set — as EU law requires.

3. Storage inventory

EntryTypePurposeDuration
Theme preferencelocalStorage (your device)Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.Until you clear site storage
Analytics consent choicelocalStorage (your device)Remembers whether you accepted or rejected Google Analytics so the banner is not shown again.Until you clear site storage
Framework internalsCookies set only if technically required by the web frameworkRendering and caching; contains no personal data.Session or less
Google Search ConsoleNone — no cookie, no script placed via this siteSearch-performance reporting for the site owner: queries, impressions and clicks Google observed in its own search results. Nothing is stored on your device because of it.—
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_* cookies)Cookies — set only after you accept in the consent bannerCounts visits and page views with a random device identifier so we know which tools are useful. Never set, never loaded, before consent; never used for advertising._ga: 13 months from each visit (renewed per visit)
Advertising / cross-site trackingNoneWe do not run advertising or cross-site tracking.—

Everything in this table except Google Analytics stays on your device and tells no one anything about you; and the analytics entries simply do not exist unless you accept them first.

4. Measurement & analytics

For search visibility we use Google Search Console. It reports the queries, impressions and clicks Google itself observed in its own search results — it never executes inside this website, sets no cookies on your device through us, and gives us aggregate statistics rather than individual profiles (site ownership is proven with a simple meta tag). Full details: Section 3(c) of the Privacy Policy.

For on-site usage we use Google Analytics 4 — but only with your permission. The GA script is not part of the page you load: it is fetched from Google only after you press “Accept analytics” in the banner, at which point Google sets its_ga identifier cookie to count visits and page views on your device. We receive aggregate reports (which tools, which pages), with advertising features and Google-account linkage switched off and no IP-address logging (GA4 does not collect IPs at all). Your choice — accept or reject — is stored on your device so the banner never nags you again, and you can change it at any time below.

Details of how the analytics is configured are described in Section 3(c) of the Privacy Policy, which governs if this page and the policy ever differ.

5. Third-party services

No third-party advertising, marketing-automation, social-media or embedded-video trackers run on this site. Fonts and scripts are served from our own infrastructure, so no third party places cookies through us except Google, in two clearly bounded roles: Search Console, which works the other way round — we query it from our own Google account and it reports on Google search data, which is why it cannot (and does not) store anything on your device; and Google Analytics 4, which does set its cookies on your device through us, but only after you accept, and only for the page statistics described above. When a future feature requires another third party, this page will disclose the provider, the data transferred, and the consent mechanism.

6. Managing or deleting your data

Analytics consent

No choice recorded on this device yet — the banner will ask on your next visit.

Changing this choice takes effect immediately on this device. Google deletes analytics data tied to your identifier within its standard retention; you can also ask us anything at [email protected].

Because our entries live in your browser storage, you control them completely: clear site data for nextaisuite in your browser settings and every stored preference — including your consent choice — disappears. Browsers can block cookies and storage per site in their privacy settings; doing so only means your theme choice will reset to your system default.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

7. Changes and questions

This policy will be updated whenever the storage inventory changes. For questions about cookies or privacy, email [email protected] or read the Privacy Policy.

By default this site stores nothing but your theme choice. If you accept, Google Analytics (cookie-based, no IP logging) helps us understand which tools are useful. See our Cookie Policy.
